About Us
The behavior and physiology of honey bees are investigated at our department since the 1940s. Nowadays we are still focused on these aspects but do also work on honey bee pathology and immunology. Honey bees also inspired our robotic experts to solve communicational and organizational based problems by using honey bee algorithms. Complex social systems can also be found in higher developed vertebrates therefore we also work on primates and other social organisms.
